How we engage
Three Ways in, Priced so You Can Stop After Any of Them.
Nobody should sign a program to find out whether we are any good. Each step produces something keep, whether or not you continue.
Verification Gap Diagnostic
Seven questions, two minutes. A scored read on where your gap is widest, an estimate of your unverified merge ratio, and what to fix first, on screen before we ask who you are.
Three-week Readiness Assessment
We measure change volume against verified change, find where coverage claims and production reality diverge, and hand you a costed 60–90 day plan you can take to a board.
Thirty Minutes With a QA Lead
An engineering lead is in the room, not just a salesperson. Bring the number you have to hit, and will tell you whether it is reachable, including when it is not.
Assessment fee is fixed before work starts and credited against the first three months if you continue.
The difference that matters
What You Are Actually Buying.
Most QA vendors and most staffing firms sell the same thing under different names. This is where we are not the same.
| A staffing or testing vendor | Modenix | |
|---|---|---|
| Unit of sale | Hours, or seats filled | Verified change, and the evidence of it |
| What you hold at the end | A timesheet and a status deck | An evidence pack and suites in your own repos |
| How performance is judged | Your impression, quarterly | Your dashboard, per engineer, continuously |
| When something is unverified | Usually nobody says | It appears as a named gap in writing |
| Tooling | Often the framework is yours. | Yours. Nothing to license, nothing to migrate off |
| If you leave | Capability leaves with them | You keep every asset that was built |

Three Ways This Is Priced.
Merge Assurance is priced on what it produces, verified change, rather than on hours worked. Our capacity practices are priced per engineer, and we say so plainly below.
1. Per Pull Request, Tiered by Risk
A monthly band covering an agreed volume of pull requests, tiered so trivial changes cost close to nothing and high-risk changes carry the human adjudication cost. Overage is billed at the band rate.
Deliberately structured so that splitting work into smaller pull requests is never more expensive. Small, reviewable diffs are what we want you to write.
2. Per Engineer
Transparent monthly rate per named QA engineer, typically one third to one half the cost of a comparable North American hire. Predictable, easy to scale up and down.
Best when the work is open-ended and you want capacity you direct.
3. Per Outcome
You state the target and the budget ceiling; we design the delivery model and carry the risk of hitting it.
Best when headcount is capped and the scope is definable.
The first 30 days
What Onboarding Actually Looks Like.
- Week 1 Access, environments, and a codebase read. We work in your repos, your pipeline, and your tracker, not a parallel universe.
- Week 2 Baseline captured: change volume, verification coverage, regression time, and adoption metrics. This is the number we get judged against later.
- Weeks 3–4 First delivered work in your pipeline. Not a plan for work. Work.
- Day 30 Reporting live in your dashboard alongside your own team's numbers.
Independence
We Do Not Grade Our Own Homework.
If we build automation for you and also assure it, that is a conflict, and pretending otherwise would undermine the only thing we sell.
- Assurance work is staffed and reported separately from build work on the same account.
- Where we built the system under test, we disclose it in the evidence pack itself.
- You may request a fully independent assurance team with no overlap with your build team, at any point, at no premium.
- We never state that a release is safe. We state what was tested, how often it held, and what was not covered.
Security & IP
The Part Procurement Asks About.
Certifications held: ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Full documentation available under NDA.
- Engineers under mutual NDA; client projects assigned codenames internally.
- Compartmentalized access: engineers on one project cannot see another.
- Hardened delivery floors: ports disabled, recording devices prohibited.
- All test assets, automation, and scripts remain your property throughout and after.
- Client data removed from our systems at project close.
- Independent internal and external audits on a recurring cycle.

Questions We Get in the First Call.
Tool or service?
Service. Our platform is how we deliver; it is not licensed to you, and are never dependent on it.
How fast can you start?
We hire ahead of demand and keep a warm bench, so weeks rather than quarters.
What does it cost?
Per engineer, roughly one third to one half of a comparable North American hire. The readiness assessment is a fixed fee, quoted before work starts.
Do you write application code?
Not as a service we sell. We are a quality engineering firm. Long-standing clients with existing development arrangements continue unchanged.
What if it isn't working?
You will see it in the dashboard before we tell you. Replacing an underperforming engineer is on us, not a change order.
